About your deepest dreams of change, this is the time to change your life
Have you been feeling somewhat unhappy or unsatisfied with your life and how some things have been going and are wondering how to change your life around? Then you need to focus on your deepest dreams, the ones about change – because let’s face it, you have them or had them, you are just ignoring them or numbing them, to a point where you don’t believe you can do anything to solve your unsatisfied or unhappy feelings – so here is the truth, this is the time to think about them! Use the time you have wisely so you don’t later regret it when your old and bold.
How to change your life? Stop with the fear of falling from the fake-invisible-nonexisting-path-of-life-line
Have you ever thought about how to change your life, changing how things are, doing something different, perhaps something bold or unusual to tell your family about? Getting out of your comfort zone, go and do something weird or that your family would be absolutely surprised? We all live by the expectations of others too much. Most people have this constant presence of what they “should” be doing at age 40, 30, 20, 15. This has been ingrained so much in our heads through movies, series, parents, grandparents, friends, that we actually start to fear to be out of this fake existing line. As if you would be somehow wrong and an odd creature, alienated from everybody else.
We never stop needing love and acceptance from our families
We just ignore that this need is even there, because somehow after your teenage self got older, you are now free and only care for yourself and think that family is not as important as it was when you were a kid. However, we are still their kids. That will never change. And because we need love and acceptance as all humans need, we are afraid of going outside the delineated line for life, fearing judgment from our parents. It is so so sad to even think about this, but it is the real truth of our lives.
Everybody is doing the same things, thinking that they will be happy following somebody else’s paths of life, no matter if it’s their parents or some celebrity or maybe their friend. We all have different tastes, views on life, goals, personalities, energies, and needs. But we are all deeply linked with our family. And we need our love and acceptance from them more than anything else in this world, so it is very hard to do something that they might not approve of, because of this invisible-path-of-life-line that we all kind of follow. It may seem like we don’t need them after we get older, but we always do. Because they’re our blood. We have a bond for life. They are the closest people we have.
We are all results of our parents’ creation, and so, their presence or their lack of it has an immense and profound role in everything we do now and will do in the future until we die. We are creatures that need love and acceptance above all. We are afraid of following our wishes and ideas because they may be a bit odd or outside this invisible-path-of-life-line, and because we also want approval and don’t want to disappoint our parents and loved ones, we kinda just stick to what’s easy to follow, and just go with it.
Stop comparing yourself to everybody else’s family and life paths
We may sometimes think “why did we end up with such parent or sibling”, wishing to have someone else’s life instead, but in reality, NO ONE, absolutely no one in this whole life has perfect relationships with their parents or their siblings. And I really believe we should talk more about this because people tend to assume that they have been somehow punished as if they didn’t deserve this treatment and that others just got luckier then them. But in reality, everyone has some kind of issue. It is just how life works, however, on the outside, it may all appear to be just fine.
The reason we can be sure about this is simply that there are no two people on this planet that are the same. It’s just impossible to happen. Even twins have differences. And where there are differences, there are clashes of ideas, opinions, understandings. No one thinks the same way and sees life through the same eyes and feels life through the same body. There are just too many circumstances that alter the way each of us is – when and where we were born, what parents we have, where we live our lives, and all the people that surround you and your environment.
All these things create an impossible pattern to be exactly repeated. And this is why we are so amazing because we are all different. And this is why we should just stop comparing our lives with other lives, and wishing to be this or that, and thinking of unlucky we got, etc.
Our families make us following this invisible-path-of-life-line
So, since we are all different, there is no way, at all, that we all have to follow the same damn path in life as we have been so thoroughly told to follow. It is absolute nonsense. It’s so obvious that we have been misled to believe this “right path of life” as if it would be the only one we could choose. Oh, because if we fail to follow it, we sure will be condemned by our sweet loving parents or siblings, of course. Again, because they too are following this invisible line.
Let’s all wake up! For once, let’s think this through and see how happy or unhappy our lives have been so far. Because this is the real question (and if you have read so far, possibilities are that something is not as right as you would like). We all have our unique strengths and unique skills that we have been born with, and so, let’s concentrate on those for once in our life, and actually think of ways we have been using those strengths, weaknesses, energies we have been gifted.
Haven’t we all been gifted with different skills? Some are born small and physically weak but with great amounts of intellectual abilities. Some are born tall and strong. Others are born medium height and are quick as a thunder when moving. Some have anger impulses when triggered. Some close up when hurt. Some are proactive and have initiative over their lives. Others are more slow but steady in achieving their goals and objectives. Some love to constantly go on adventures and experiencing new things, eating new foods, exploring life. Others prefer to life more secure lives, where stability is key for their happiness, so they build big and strong families and houses, and create an environment where they feel like kings. Some are more “feminine” and may show more emotion while talking. Others are more “masculine” and don’t display big feelings or emotions on the outside. Some like to receive lots of physical attention and love displays. Others can be content with actions rather than physical displays. Some are fast thinkers and move quickly and react fast to things. Others are more slow to make a decision but they analyse all the little details before taking action.
What am I talking about? Strengths?
By strengths I mean the personality you’ve been born with.
Each of us has been given different strengths, be it about through the astrological spectrum or be it through MBTI or cognitive functions. Its general knowledge that we came to this world with some predisposition to something. I mean, for example, we all know that John who was very talkative as a child, while Emily was more of a quiet and shy girl and didn’t quite blend with others. If you want to understand more about this, I will soon be posting about these topics, so stay connected!
We have powers!
All these different people have different purposes in life. We have all been gifted different “powers”, may I say it like that.
Each and every one of us has a different purpose in this life, having been given different abilities and skills to deal with what comes in the way. And this is crucial! Life is complex, and so are we, because some situations require one type of thinking and doing, while others require another. We are all like a big engine in this world. But each of us has been handled with just a few pieces of the whole buck of tools to experience this life (a more detailed post about this topic will come soon).
Each individual has only their own particular way of understanding life. And if we combine all the different people, we get a much more widespread and complete picture of life.
With all this, I wanted to convey to everybody who is still believing in that “life formula” that’s been crafted for everyone, that there is absolutely no same formula for everybody. It is a deep dissatisfaction in life for everyone to actually believe that they need to be doing the same everyone else is doing. It only leads to unhappiness. It only leads to regret later in life. You will be deeply regretting not having done what you wanted, and consequently, you will resent your parents and you’ll be having a mid-life crisis. Sorry. It’s the truth.
Do it while you can, because life isn’t eternal!
If you’re not comfortable enough to change your life all at once (perhaps it’s just too radical), you can start small, step by step, like climbing steps. And if you stick to my motto Do it while you can, or die in regret you’ll push yourself and it will be a hella good motivation! Trust me!
Side note,
Everyone who is reading this will have absolutely different problems in their lives that need fixing. And the joy of talking about “unsatisfaction” in general, is because everyone can find a particular meaning according to their lives if they think how they can use the information that they are given. I don’t know about everybody’s dreams, wishes, desires, ideas. But I do know that there are simple ideas that change minds. And the more you live the more you know, so just adapt what you learn to your own life and see how you can improve it. Because again, there is no special formula that’s the same for everybody. We need to find it ourselves. Introspecting.
Cheers everyone!
